The 1981 Topps Tom Blanchard #253 is a Football card released in 1981. Ungraded copies carry a market value of about $1.35.
An ungraded copy is worth around $1.35, a PSA 9 around $12.01, a PSA 10 (Gem Mint) around $33.92 and a pristine BGS 10 around $44.00. That's roughly a 25× premium for a gem-mint copy over raw — one of the clearest signals that condition-sensitive buyers dominate this card's market.
Is it worth grading?
The spread between raw ($1.35) and top-graded ($33.92) copies is fairly tight, so grading this card only makes financial sense for truly flawless copies — or for collectors who simply prefer slabbed cards for protection and display.
