The 1997 Finest Ron Mercer Refractor w/ Coating #272 is a Basketball card (Refractor w/ Coating parallel) released in 1997. Ungraded copies carry a market value of about $1.37.
An ungraded copy is worth around $1.37, a PSA 9 around $7.56, a PSA 10 (Gem Mint) around $45.70 and a pristine BGS 10 around $59.00. That's roughly a 33× premium for a gem-mint copy over raw — one of the clearest signals that condition-sensitive buyers dominate this card's market.
Is it worth grading?
The spread between raw ($1.37) and top-graded ($45.70) copies is fairly tight, so grading this card only makes financial sense for truly flawless copies — or for collectors who simply prefer slabbed cards for protection and display.
