The 1977 Topps Ricky Sobers White Back #42 is a Basketball card (White Back parallel) released in 1977. Ungraded copies carry a market value of about $1.04.
An ungraded copy is worth around $1.04, a PSA 9 around $25.16, a PSA 10 (Gem Mint) around $30.00 and a pristine BGS 10 around $39.00. That's roughly a 29× premium for a gem-mint copy over raw — one of the clearest signals that condition-sensitive buyers dominate this card's market.
Is it worth grading?
The spread between raw ($1.04) and top-graded ($30.00) copies is fairly tight, so grading this card only makes financial sense for truly flawless copies — or for collectors who simply prefer slabbed cards for protection and display.
