The 2021 Donruss Optic Base Set Max Scherzer Teal Velocity #197 is a Baseball card (Teal Velocity parallel) released in 2021. Ungraded copies carry a market value of about $4.35.
An ungraded copy is worth around $4.35, a PSA 10 (Gem Mint) around $15.50 and a pristine BGS 10 around $20.00. That's roughly a 3.6× premium for a gem-mint copy over raw — one of the clearest signals that condition-sensitive buyers dominate this card's market.
Is it worth grading?
The spread between raw ($4.35) and top-graded ($15.50) copies is fairly tight, so grading this card only makes financial sense for truly flawless copies — or for collectors who simply prefer slabbed cards for protection and display.
