The 2023 Topps Update 1988 Topps Baseball Autographs Matt Mervis Black #88BAU-MME is a Baseball card (Black parallel) released in 2023. Ungraded copies carry a market value of about $5.93.
An ungraded copy is worth around $5.93, a PSA 9 around $17.28, a PSA 10 (Gem Mint) around $44.24 and a pristine BGS 10 around $58.00. That's roughly a 7.5× premium for a gem-mint copy over raw — one of the clearest signals that condition-sensitive buyers dominate this card's market.
Is it worth grading?
The spread between raw ($5.93) and top-graded ($44.24) copies is fairly tight, so grading this card only makes financial sense for truly flawless copies — or for collectors who simply prefer slabbed cards for protection and display.
