The 1986 Topps Lions Team Eric Hipple #242 is a Football card (Eric Hipple parallel) released in 1986. Ungraded copies carry a market value of about $0.99.
An ungraded copy is worth around $0.99, a PSA 9 around $14.99, a PSA 10 (Gem Mint) around $33.41 and a pristine BGS 10 around $43.00. That's roughly a 34× premium for a gem-mint copy over raw — one of the clearest signals that condition-sensitive buyers dominate this card's market.
Is it worth grading?
The spread between raw ($0.99) and top-graded ($33.41) copies is fairly tight, so grading this card only makes financial sense for truly flawless copies — or for collectors who simply prefer slabbed cards for protection and display.
