The 1990 Fleer Eric Metcalf #55 is a Football card released in 1990. Ungraded copies carry a market value of about $1.39.
An ungraded copy is worth around $1.39, a PSA 9 around $5.50, a PSA 10 (Gem Mint) around $12.97 and a pristine BGS 10 around $17.00. That's roughly a 9.3× premium for a gem-mint copy over raw — one of the clearest signals that condition-sensitive buyers dominate this card's market.
Is it worth grading?
The spread between raw ($1.39) and top-graded ($12.97) copies is fairly tight, so grading this card only makes financial sense for truly flawless copies — or for collectors who simply prefer slabbed cards for protection and display.
