The 2017 Donruss Optic Base Set Alex Smith Red #8 is a Football card (Red parallel) released in 2017. Ungraded copies carry a market value of about $3.95.
An ungraded copy is worth around $3.95, a PSA 10 (Gem Mint) around $28.88 and a pristine BGS 10 around $38.00. That's roughly a 7.3× premium for a gem-mint copy over raw — one of the clearest signals that condition-sensitive buyers dominate this card's market.
Is it worth grading?
The spread between raw ($3.95) and top-graded ($28.88) copies is fairly tight, so grading this card only makes financial sense for truly flawless copies — or for collectors who simply prefer slabbed cards for protection and display.
