The 2024 Topps 1989 Topps Baseball 35th Anniversary Autographs (Series 1) AJ Smith-Shawver Black #89BA-AS is a Baseball card (Black parallel) released in 2024. Ungraded copies carry a market value of about $9.00.
An ungraded copy is worth around $9.00, a PSA 9 around $35.00, a PSA 10 (Gem Mint) around $55.16 and a pristine BGS 10 around $72.00. That's roughly a 6.1× premium for a gem-mint copy over raw — one of the clearest signals that condition-sensitive buyers dominate this card's market.
Is it worth grading?
The spread between raw ($9.00) and top-graded ($55.16) copies is fairly tight, so grading this card only makes financial sense for truly flawless copies — or for collectors who simply prefer slabbed cards for protection and display.
